Finish the story!

Hey Boys and Girls!

I’m stuck! I’ve started another Evangeline Mudd story, but I don’t know how to finish it. Will you help me out? If you do, why not try using a couple of similes (sim-uh-lees)? A simile is just a fancy word for comparing two things. The tricky thing about them, though, is that they always use like or as.

Below are some similes from Evangeline Mudd and the Great Mink Escapade.

  • Inside was a fountain pen, as tidy and solemn as a mummy.
  • India Terpsichore had been a famous ballerina and had traveled the world whirling like a dust devil and leaping like a hyena.
  • Ballet dancers whizzed back and forth, flitting from to room like butterflies in a hurricane.

Good luck finishing the story. And thanks for the help. Oh, one other thing. You’ll have to finish the title, too.

Sincerely, DE

“I don’t see why they don’t let me write with my feet at school,” she complained. “If they did, I could get twice as much done.”

Still, the sign she had been working on, hadn’t turned out so badly.
