My Chapter Books

Every time I sit down to write a longer book, the character turns out to be nine or ten years old. I don't plan it that way; it just happens. And nearly always, the characters find themselves in a world that is almost like this one. Almost . . .but not quite. It's the possibilities in the "not quite" part that interest me.
